Kamehameha Day Parade
On Kamehameha Day, our Ulu Mau Summer Program haumāna crafted two 34-foot lei to drape upon the King Kamehameha statue. The students also offered hoʻokupu and led “E Hō Mai,” asking for knowledge, and guidance.
Seedlings for a Backyard Revolution
After the parade, Ulu Mau students hosted a free seedling giveaway as part of KPM’s service projects to encourage home food production and to kick off our Vegetable Growing Contest tied to the 2025 Kohala Reunion. We distributed 200 seedlings - tomatoes, eggplant, squash, and pumpkin grown right on the farm.
