Farm Tours and Events

‘Ohana (family) is the heart of Palili ‘O Kohala, a taro-farming cooperative and Natural Farming Learning Lab located just minutes from Hawi town. Palili ‘O Kohala invites you to be a part of their ‘ohana for the day.

Come and take a tour of the farm’s taro fields, wetland taro patch, odorless Natural Farming piggery and chicken house, and get your hands in the dirt by planting a taro huli.  Taste our sweet kulolo (a dessert made from the taro), then relax and talk story with us about North Kohala’s deeply-rooted agricultural history.

Weekly tour offered every Friday, from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm
. Cost: $50 per person (includes tour and tasting), children under 12 free.

Learn more and plan your visit by calling (808) 960-3727 or  email
