Educational Groups and Events

Kahua Pa’a Mua hosts quarterly Ho’ike inviting community members to learn and enjoy local food grown by the youth of the mentorship program. Groups have included medical students from University of Hawaii to middle school gifted and talented students from Colorado.

On October 26th, 2018 High School STEAM (science, technology, engineering, agriculture and mathematics) students from Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School visited the farm where they were able to learn practices of Korean Natural Farming and Animal Husbandry. Our Mentors, Leslie and David, had caught the attention of these very interested students during their discussions, great questions were asked and the knowledge was helpful.
